What is Phat Poetry?
Phat Poetry is an event created by Belle-Noir Communications that celebrates size acceptance and the positive portrayal of women of Color through poetry and spoken word performances. All poets,spoken word artists, and hip hop artists with a positive message are invited to perform at one of our upcoming Open Mic Nights in New York City starting in 2010.

Do I have to be a BBW or BHM to perform at Phat Poetry?
No, you do not have to be a BBW (Big Beautiful Woman) or a BHM (Big Handsome Man) to perform. We ask that you please remain positive & respectful in your performance, refrain from excessive obscene language.

I want to perform! How do I sign up?
